Vinous Antonio Galloni - 02 Nov 23
The 2019 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is redolent of dried herbs, leather, tobacco, menthol, pine, dried rose petal and spice. The aromatics are quite pretty, but like all these wines, the Le Coste is not fully expressive at this stage. Searingly tannic and potent.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
